promote Girls in Sports!
Yolanda gave the Keynote address on day two of Team Up for Youth's & Altheltes for Hope's Game Plan for Girls' Sports: Igniting a Practice of Change. This two day summit began with an award reception on the evening of May 20th. Jackie Joyner-Kersee, winner of 6 Olympic medals in 4 consecutive Olympics received Team-Up for Youth's First Ladies in Sports Award.  This award honors Joyner-Kersee's endless trail-blazing for women and girls and continual inspiration for girls to reach their highest potential against all odds.  In addition, TUFY awarded deserving program leaders and parents the Community Ambassador Awards for commitment to excellence and quality in girls' sports.

On Friday May 21st, community and non-profit leaders, policymakers, university faculty, alumni, community and college volunteers, and youth participants came together to develop skill sets, and share collective insights and ideas for growth in girls' athletic programming.  The keynote address was given by WNBA star YolandaGriffith!  We also heard from Natalie Randolph one of the first varsity boys' football coaches in America.
